How do I turn off “double-clicking” in Visual Studio 2010?
I have to use the CTRL+R shortcuts for resizing windows (via the mouse scroll wheel) and when I hit CTRL+R I get a “hot-key message” that it’s a mouse click. While I’m typing this I get a popup saying that I have used the Ctrl+R shortcut to resize a window.
Is there a setting in Visual Studio 2010 to turn off these messages and hotkeys?
Go to Tools > Options > Environment > Keyboard and delete the following:
Remove any other duplicated keys from the list as well.
You can also turn these off in Tools > Options > Environment > Text Editor.
To disable the shortcut for resizing windows, go to Tools | Options | Environment | Keyboard and uncheck “Using same shortcut as CTRL+R” and “Using same shortcut as ALT+R”
Are discrete convolutions point-wise convergent?
I am currently writing a proof that an appropriate type of discrete convolution, namely the product with a permutation is weak-* continuous and hence point-wise continuous. The problem is that I don’t know if all discrete convolutions are point-wise convergent.
If they are, then I need to know whether they are point-wise convergent in $L^2$.
(This seems to be related to this post, but I am not sure if it can be applied to my problem).
The answer is ‘yes’ if the convolution is a Hilbert-Schmidt operator.

Aaron K.The present invention relates to a height-adjustable tool rest.
The so-called industrial-type tool rests are known which have a horizontally arranged, two-side-mounted tool holder for carrying a cutting tool and also having a height-adjustable support member which carries the tool holder. In the neutral position the tool holder can be moved between a lower position and an upper position along the support member.
Such an industrial-type tool rest is known from DE 37 33 756 A1. The support member is attached, via a hinge, to a horizontally arranged holding plate. In the neutral position of the tool holder the latter is positioned above the holding plate in a substantially horizontal direction. For the purpose of height adjustment, a slider is attached to the support member and is adjustable in the longitudinal direction of the support member.
