Attend a “Take Five” Event
Break up your workday with a brief mental well-being break featuring games, puzzles, coloring and more. City employees are welcome to join the DHRM team on the first and third Wednesdays of each month in the City Hall Atrium.
This month’s “Take Five” events are:
- Wednesday, May 7, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, May 21, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Discover Offerings from the City Wellness Committee & MVP Healthcare
Our partners at MVP Healthcare have two ways for you to recognize Mental Health Awareness Month as well, including:
- Visit an MVP Health Care Onsite Support table: Melissa Miller, Health Promotion Program Manager, MVP Healthcare, is onsite to answer your questions about MVP offerings from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month in the City Hall Cafeteria. This month, that includes Wednesdays, May 14 and 28.
- Join the City Wellness Committee’s Mind Body Challenge (May 19 to June 15):
When life gets busy, it’s important to keep both the mind and body healthy and this challenge provides an opportunity for just that! Join the Mind Body Challenge to work with teammates to stay physically active and complete guided meditation sessions to calm the mind, relax the body, and become grounded through the practice of meditation.To participate in the Mind Body Challenge, sign up for a Wellable account to access tools that will track your progress and celebrate your success.
